Spaceships, Lazer Juice and Two Last Shows

There comes a time in everyman's life when he must put music aside for a month, travel to San Diego and hone is craft of writing about spaceships, wormholes and lazer juice. Well ok, not every man, but if you are Dustin J. Monk a sci-fi pilgrimage is a priority at least once and we wouldn't have it any other way! What the hell are we talking about? Well Dusty got accepted to a pretty super exclusive writing conference for a month, you can read about it and follow it on his blog . That means we'll be hard at work on our new album ( which will hopefully be an LP this time around) and will be playing two final Chicago shows before the SBL show in August. Here's the info:

May 22nd - Ball Hall ( Loft Party ) 9 PM - (THIRD FLOOR!) 1621 N. Kedzie Ave. Chicago, IL 60647

June 4th - Quencher's Saloon - 9:30 PM - 2401 North Western Avenue Chicago, IL 60647

Wow, what an event. I suppose we should begin by thanking people, namely: Shannon Edwards, Chau, Suzy, Bill Bell, Dr. Hammer, 100 Monkeys, The Stevedores, Kissing Club, Drew and the Medicinal Pen and Evro!!

We can say, with much enthusiasm, that this was the most fun we have ever had playing music. It's not everyday friends, family and an awesome power outage can come together in such a perfect storm. Thanks everyone, can't wait for August. Happy Trails!

Mini Tour Begins Next Week!

Hello Everyone,

On the long road to celebrate the Legacy that is Spencer Bell, we will make a few stops ( both coming and going). We hope to see your lovely faces at at least one if not all of them!!! Okay so here are the shows/venues and supporting acts:

Two Shows With 100 Monkeys in the Midwest

And we though the next time we'd see their lovely faces would be in April, turns out, they're coming to our neck of the woods!

Recording Third EP or LP?????

Tomorrow we begin the initial stages of working on our next batch of recordings. We're taking a trip out west to Dusty's house for some very early bass n drum takes.

We have about eight songs and we really dig all of them, so hopefully the entire group will be on our next EP/LP. Two songs we've played before: Marie Antoinette and What Fireworks? The rest are all brand spanking new. Hope to get them up as soon as possible.
